Gordon Bombay – Unburstable Bubble

This is a compilation album that consists of MOD SUN, Pat Brown, Zachary Garren, JCW, & B Rolla. The aim of this album isn’t so much hip hop but it’s just got a very Summer sound to it and it’s got some positive messages that I think everyone can agree with unless you hate being happy. All procceeds from this album are going to charity so, I recommend buying this. The foundation is called “Charity Water” pass it forward and get 8 solid tracks. You know I hopped on this. #snapbacknation #summerlove

Justin Bieber- Boyfriend (Remix) Ft. 2 Chainz, Mac Miller, Asher Roth

That’s right you read this headline right. It’s a Justin Bieber track with some ill features. I think this beat kicks to begin with. All the Bieber haters can bear the chorus to hear some sweet verses from some of my favorite rappers. 2 Chainz is still growing on me but Asher still does his thing on this track which always gets my head nodding. Enjoy this it’s pretty catchy.

Brando- Big Easy (ft. G-Eazy)

I haven’t quite found any music that matches the style of G-Eazy. He’s got this unusual sound and is always using a track that has this old school vibe to it. Endless Summer was the last project he put out and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone through the mixtape this summer so far. He’ll be at the Van’s Warped Tour this year where I’m hoping to see him perform. Brando is new to me but, you can’t go wrong when G-Eazy is on the track.

Ab-Soul “Terrorist Threats” ft. Danny Brown & Jhene Aiko

Ab-Soul releases the video to “Terriorist Threats” on youtube this last week. Just listen to the message in this song. So many lines between lines.

Dylan Ownen Ft. Kinetics – In the Corner (Video)

Dylan Owen has a awesome flow. Kinetics has awesome hair. Do these two things have any correlation, probably not but they’re both unreal on this track. The video is pretty epic too, a lot of nice cuts, some good looking women, this is what music videos are about.

Throwback Thursday: Afrika Bambaataa – Planet Rock

I laugh everytime I hear this song because it reminds me of an old PlayStation One game called Thrasher: Skate And Destroy. This song is classic, though bringing in a couple million views on YouTube. Released in 1982, it wasn’t the most popular song but it sure changed the foundation of hip-hop and dance music. Give it up for Planet Rock.

If you really think it’s a weird song just note that in November 2004, the Planet Rock track was placed at #237 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. I call that impressive even if the song is a bit funky.
