Nipsey Hussle ft. Rick Ross – Proud of That

Nipsey Hussle leads things off and delivers some insightful rhymes about where he’s from and where he plans on going and then the MMG boss, Rick Ross, comes through for the second verse and, as usual, gives us some ill bars; boastful and fearless as ever. There is no word on where this track will end up, either way this is a tough track.

Chief Keef Feat. Kanye West, Pusha T, Jadakiss & Big Sean – I Don’t Like (Remix)

The G.O.O.D. Music crew remixes one of 16 year old Chief Keef’s standout tracks from the “Back From The Dead” mixtape. Not too sure how I feel about it. If anything, Big Sean had my ears listening more than anyone else. Kanye isn’t the same as he was on his last two albums.. Not saying change isn’t good but.. don’t dumb down your music just to have the others that are signed on your label sound better. Just my opinion.

2 Chainz has enlisted Club Paradise Tour headliner Drake on “No Lie,” the first single from “Based on a T.R.U. Story”, which is scheduled for an August 14 release.

Explicit version will be released on May 8th. Yeah, you’re not he only one that hates the clean version.. so deal with it,

Los – Mercy (Freestyle)

Los is such a great artist when it comes to creating a track on a beat that already has a great track on it.
Mercy was the first single released off of the new GOOD Music album that will be coming out later this year. You can hear the original by Kanye, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz here if you’d like.

But you can listen and download the Los freestyle version here.

Throwback Thursday: Shyheim – Shit Iz Real

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Off of the second album “The Lost Generation” Shyheim came back with a strong single, holding it down for the Wu. Matter of fact he was the youngest Wu-Tang Clan member who shared the stage in Madison Square Garden with the like of Big, Pac, and Big Daddy Kane in ’95. Many say he’s never reached the level of fame he deserved but if you know hip hop then you have most likely have heard of Shy, so in reality he layed down a concrete grounding of excellence while being a well-known MC.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: “Star Power (Mixtape)”

Wiz Khalifa has been making a huge name for himself lately but the thing is, he’s been around for a long time and has tons of classic material that not many of the newer fans know about.  Being the music junkie I am, I started listening to Wizzle Man back in 2006 and have been a fan ever since.  So, it’s my job now to educate you all on some of Wiz’s best unknown work and this mixtape goes HARD!  If you don’t have Star Power, listen to it below and be sure to download.  It is well worth your time.
