Throwback Thursday- Beastie Boys “Intergalactic”

Bet you didn’t see this one coming. That’s right, The Beastie Boys. If you don’t believe this to be hip hop you’re living in denial. Beastie Boys brought a brand new style and attitude to hip hop so it’s only right that they get the credit they deserved. Their quirky punchlines and off the wall attitude is what initially comes to mind when I think Beastie Boys. Enjoy this throwback and crank it up, this beat BUMPS!

Outkast- B.O.B

Another Throwback Thursday, is on hand yet again. This time I’m coming at you from the dirty south and doing the always great rap group Outkast. The song is Bombs Over Baghdad. This song is straight flow and I believe Outkast is what put Atl on the map in the 90′s and early 2000′s. Listen and Enjoy!

Childish Gambino- Rolling In The Deep (Jamie xx Remix)

Ok so this isn’t new at all but if you’re a true Childish Gambino fan this song is what put him on the map. In his song “Freaks and Geeks” he uses the line,

” Nigga can’t you tell that my sample of Adele was so hot, I got these hood Nigga’s blowing up my cell.”

DAM IS THAT THE TRUTH. Gambino’s verse doesn’t roll in until about three minutes in but he MURDERS THIS! enjoy. OH and we’ll call this the jam for throwback thursday even though it wasn’t too long ago.

P.S. Check out his soon to drop album “Camp” set to drop in early november.

Throwback Thursday- Country Grammer

What a classic track, I felt it appropriate seeing as St.Louis snagged the wild card from Atlanta last night. Had Atlanta won you probably would have been seeing some Outkast. Nelly was fire back in the day and this was playing out of everyone’s speakers at one point in time. So for your Thursday let’s remember that this track was ” HOT SHIT”
